Welcome to the Large Animal Hospital at the University of Florida Veterinary Medical Center. Our hospital offers consulting and field services not only to the horse industry, but also to beef cattle, dairy cattle and even aquaculture farms, thus serving the entire agricultural industry of the state of Florida.
Our Alec P. and Louise H. Courtelis Equine Teaching Hospital, which has one of the largest equine caseloads of all teaching hospitals in the U.S., contributes to the health and well-being of individual horses, as well as to the industry as a whole.

Please be advised that a negative Coggins test will be required for all EQUINE patients. If you do not have a current Coggins test, one can be performed at the Large Animal Hospital for a fee.
